What is da chan bay?

Da Chan Bay is a deep-water port located in the south of Dongguan city in Guangdong province, China. It was officially opened in December 2004 and is considered to be one of the most modern and efficient container terminals in the world. The port is spread over an area of 85 square kilometers and has 15 berths with a total quay length of 6,462 meters. It is equipped with advanced facilities such as automated stacking cranes, remote-controlled gantry cranes, and a computerized communication system. The port handles a large volume of cargo including containers, bulk cargo, roll-on/roll-off cargo, and breakbulk cargo. It serves as a gateway to the Pearl River Delta region and provides access to major shipping routes in the world. Da Chan Bay is owned and operated by the China Merchants Group and is a key part of the Belt and Road Initiative, connecting China with other countries through trade and investment.
